Released first EP Love is the Key in May. Co-Produced and Co-written by himself and Spencer Lee Horton, The EP has been featured on BBC radio suffolks drivetime show with Steven Foster and was accomanied by a four track in session recording with live interview for one week in May.
The Love is the Key EP was also featured in both the two leading local newspapers ‘The Evening Star’ and the ‘East Anglian Daily Times’. The Evening Star said of the EP that ‘Brendan’s melodic material is very radio friendly’ and the East Anglian Daily Times said that ‘Brendan’s music sits comfortabaly alongside much of what’s coming my way from other parts of the UK and further afield’.
Brendan has extensively toured the local circuit with Djembe player Ben Diffley and Thomas Crosthwaite on second guitar over the last year and has played to sold out audiences at Issac’s and la Victor barge by the waterfront as well as the Dog in Grundsbough which have gone down a storm.
The EP is selling well. Current fans and people who like Brendan Ware’s music stand at nearly 100 people on facebook alone with another 170 friends on his personal facebook site. The Website www.brendanware.co.uk is up and running and has links to all of Brendan’s other web links including twitter, i like and you tube and an as yet unfinished myspace page is well on its way.
Videos of Brendan Ware will be linked to You tube. A recording of this weekends show at the Black Tiles pub in Martlesham will be featured shortly.
Figures for sales of Love is the Key is as yet unknown but the follow up single ‘You are a Star’ (co-produced and co-written again by Spencer Lee Horton) and off the EP of the same name is sure to keep the Brendan Ware fans happy.
Written about the last year and first of his long term relationship to Yelena, the You are a Star EP is sure to keep notions of Love, Happiness and Peace and Understanding very much in the Limelight.
Musically, all of the songs are melodious with great harmonies and the classic bands of yesteryear which inspire Brendan to this day are still very much evident. There are elements of many of the truly great Bands in the Music. Think Oasis, The Beatles, Weller and the Rolling Stones and you’d be on the right lines with this EP.
